背景

房价预测，是伴随着房地产产业出现的，最古老和经典的问题之一。

十一前，随着 Zillow 的诞生，房价估计算法 Zestimate 作为 Zillow 的核心功能，也一同出现在人们的眼前，深深地改变了美国的房地产行业。Zestimate 机器学习模型建立在美国750万房屋交易历史数据之上，分析每个房屋上百个特征。经过数十年的优化，它的误差范围中位数（Median Margin of Error），已经从14%降低到了5%。Zillow 已经建立起了美国最大最可信的房地产信息平台。

比赛的参与者，可以一同探索提高 Zestimate 的准确性，影响美国一亿一千万栋房屋的估值，甚至有机会赢得一百万美金的大奖。

赛程

比赛的平台是 Kaggle。选手需要根据提供的历史交易数据，分析房屋的特征，建立模型，预测最后的交易价格。

比赛分为两个阶段，资格赛（May 24, 2017 – January 17, 2018）和总决赛（February 1, 2018 – January 15, 2019）。只有在资格赛获得前100名的选手才有机会进入总决赛。由于美国的房地产交易的数据都是公开的，因此，在每一轮的测试集都是正在销售的房屋，当选手提交完数据之后，需要等待三个月后这些房屋的最终售价收集完成，才会公布成绩。

第一轮: $50,000 U.S. Dollars ("USD") total

• First Place Prize - $25,000 USD
• Second Place Prize - $15,000 USD
• Third Place Prize - $10,000 USD

第二轮: $1,150,000 USD Total

• First Place Prize - $1,000,000 USD
