Upbeat dark-comedy cabaret punk, around 150 BPM, minor key but relentlessly cheerful. Theatrical male lead vocal with a sardonic grin, half showman half MC, switching between Mandarin and English; loud gang-vocal chants on the chorus. Driving slap bass, brisk pounding drums, honky-tonk piano, punchy brass stabs (trumpet, trombone, baritone sax), gypsy-style clarinet and violin fills, handclaps, occasional circus-organ swells. Verses fast and talky with a spring in the step; pre-chorus builds with a snare roll; chorus explodes into a sing-along ska/oompah bounce with crowd "Hey!" shouts. Bridge shifts to a slower, sinister waltz before a key change into a final triumphant chorus. Ending: drumroll, big brass hit, then one small sad trumpet note. Vibe: an office layoff turned into a manic party, festive on the surface, bleak underneath. Punchy live-band mix, energetic, no lo-fi.
